Christmas 2008

For the first time since we have been married, we stayed home for Christmas. It was nice to sleep in our own beds and start our own traditions but at the same time it was sad not being with family and having tons of people running around all over the place. It was probably a good thing that we didn't go anywhere because starting Christmas Eve we all got the stomach flu! :( Christmas day was full of opening presents, pucking, diaper changing, and going out to IHOP for breakfast! I had made a whole bunch of candy, wassail, and other treats to enjoy during this week but we just couldnt' enjoy it all this year. Luckily it was only a 24 hour bug so it didnt' last long but it sure wasn't fun while it lasted. However, we did have a good Christmas and enjoyed the time together. Therin had 11 consecutive days off work this year! It was so fun to have him home for so long but it wasn't such a vacation for him with all the throw up messes and other clean up I made him do!! Sorry Therin but THANK YOU! :)

Therin loves Mr. Kruger's Christmas so he made it a tradition to watch it every Christmas eve. The kids actually really liked it!

The only thing Jared was excited about was all the candy. He went from stocking to stocking stealing the little candy everyone had. (He was over his sickness by now.)
