Abby's Book

Abby entered the Reflections program this year at her school. It's a program where the kids are given a topic and have to create something to go along with the topic (books, art, music, etc..) Abby decided she wanted to write a book so she sat down one day and wrote "The Sky Scraper." Parents are not allowed to help or give ideas so I was impressed with all the pictures and story line she came up with. A few weeks ago we were all suprised and excited when Abby received a letter stating she had won an award of Merit for her work (1-2 awards were given for each catergory and there were over 1,000 entries.) Here are a few pictures of the awards night. She was super nervous because she hates when attention is drawn to her in large groups.
