Abby's 1st missing tooth

About 2 months ago Abby noticed that she finally had a loose tooth. (She has been checking almost daily for over a year!) I thought since she had been wanting a missing tooth for so long, she would try everything to quickly get it pulled out. This was not the case. Therin had told her that if she just took her time and wiggled it every day and didn't rush it then it wouldn't hurt at all when it came out. Abby did not want to feel any pain so finally after carrying this out for over a month I realized we just had to get this thing out. I convinced Therin to convince Abby that her tooth was loose enough that all we had to do was tie a piece of floss on her tooth and it would practically come out by itself. So sure enough, after tying the floss around the tooth she started to try and back out of it so Therin kept talking to her and barely yanked on the tooth and out it came. Abby didn't even notice it was out until she tasted the blood in her mouth (which was hardly any!) So I guess Therin is right, if you don't want to feel anything when you loose a tooth, wait until it pretty much falls out by itself! The worst part of all this was that she was SO excited for the tooth fairy to come and that dang tooth fairy completely forgot to stop by our house that night!! Man, I really wish that tooth fairy would get on the ball!! But she made up for it by giving her a whole dollar the following night!

She is so cute with her tooth gone. I was cracking up when the tooth fairy forgot to come. :) That is something that I know I will do many times.

The tooth fairy must be forgetful, my Abbey had to write her a reminder note two weeks later to make sure she came to our house.

Izabelle will be soooo jealous. She's so upset that everyone has a missing tooth except her. Well, technically, she has 2 missing teeth, but those don't count. :)
